Priyal Bhardwaj, Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha Delhi Pradesh, and head of Sangini Saheli Sanstha, believes that politics is not just about maintaining a position of power, but is also about bringing back the brightness on the faces of the people by fulfilling their needs. Priyal started her career as a successful fashion designer, but she always felt a need to do something for underprivileged people, especially women who were struggling to get their rights. She started joining social programs whenever she got a chance in between work. She got a chance to join the service project of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the beginning, and it became the school where her political mission started. Priyal said that she learned a lot about forgetting oneself and keeping the spirit of the nation first from RSS.
Priyal stated that the feeling of being anti-women about the Sangh is always spread by the opponents, but those propagating this myth do not really know the RSS. Women and children are working for weak people by joining various service projects, and RSS has never made unnecessary propaganda its tool. A political activist like Priyal is an example of this.
After being educated in RSS school, Priyal came into mainstream politics. At BJP, she got the opportunity to do service work by holding various positions. Priyal has been doing service work for the last eight-nine years since the Modi government came. According to Priyal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed the meaning of power by making the service of the poor, deprived, and weak people the main agenda of the government. This approach has expanded the party continuously, and ordinary women education workers feel proud to be a part of it.
As the Vice President of Delhi Pradesh Mahila Morcha, Priyal has done a lot of work under the leadership of her President. She has also started many important works through the Sangini Saheli organization. Priyal has made menstrual hygiene her agenda and started a big campaign to distribute free sanitary pads. Today, this mission has taken a big shape, and thousands of girls are associated with it. Priyal is also trying to break the hesitation in the minds of girls regarding menstruation by explaining to them that it is not a matter of hesitation but a natural biological process.
Priyal believes that social concern is politics for her, and she fulfills all the campaign program responsibilities of the party with utmost sincerity. She has worked hard wherever the party gave her responsibility in the UP assembly elections, MCD elections, and other events. Priyal is happy that her family has been with her at every step, and she believes that it is possible to balance family and politics if one really wants to do it.
